Char Dham Yatra by Road Ex Haridwar (9 Night / 10 Days)

We start early for Janki Chatti, the starting point for the 6 km trek to Yamunotri. You can walk the trail or opt for a pony/palki for a more comfortable climb. At the temple, it’s a tradition to cook rice in the boiling Surya Kund as a holy offering. After seeking blessings at the Divya Shila, we trek back to the base.

Today, we drive to Uttarkashi, often called the 'Kashi of the North.' This holy town sits right on the banks of the Bhagirathi. We will visit the ancient Kashi Vishwanath Temple, famous for its massive brass trident (Trishul) that stands as a symbol of divine protection.

Enjoy a stunning drive through the Harsil Valley to reach the Gangotri Temple. This is the spot where the Ganga first touched the earth. After a holy dip and Darshan at the beautiful white marble temple, we return to Uttarkashi through lush green deodar forests.

Our journey moves into the Mandakini valley as we head toward Guptkashi. Mythologically, this is where Lord Shiva is said to have hidden from the Pandavas. We’ll try to visit the Ardhanarishwar Temple if time allows before settling in for the night.

The day most pilgrims wait for. We move from Sonprayag to Gaurikund to start the 16 km trek to Kedarnath. Whether you walk the path or take a helicopter, the first sight of the temple against the massive glacier is unforgettable. Don’t miss the evening Aarti; the energy there is truly surreal.

After an early morning Darshan to see the sun hit the Himalayan peaks, we begin the trek back down to Gaurikund. Our vehicle will be waiting to take you back to the comfort of your hotel in Guptkashi for a much-needed rest.

We travel via Joshimath to reach Badrinath, the holy abode of Lord Vishnu. Following tradition, pilgrims take a dip in the natural thermal waters of Tapt Kund before entering the temple. The Vedic chants during the evening Aarti here will stay with you forever.

Explore Mana Village, the very last Indian village before the Tibet border. You’ll see Bhim Pul and the Vyas Gufa cave, where the Mahabharata was said to be composed. Later, we drive to Rudraprayag, where you can see the powerful confluences (Prayags) of the Alaknanda river.

On our final day, we head back to Haridwar. We’ll stop at Devprayag, the magnificent spot where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers merge to officially become the Ganga. The yatra concludes as we drop you off, carrying the peace of the Himalayas back home.
