Kedarnath & Badrinath – Their Spiritual Significance
Perched amidst the majestic Garhwal Himalayas, Kedarnath and Badrinath represent the divine balance of the universe—the destroyer and the preserver. Shri Kedarnath Ji, one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas, is situated at an altitude of 3,583 meters. Legend has it that after the Kurukshetra war, the Pandavas sought Lord Shiva to atone for their sins. Shiva, wanting to avoid them, took the form of a bull and dove into the earth, leaving his hump at Kedarnath. The temple stands as a testament to liberation and the washing away of past karmas.
Shri Badrinath Ji, dedicated to Lord Vishnu as Badri Narayan, is tucked between the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges. According to the Puranas, Lord Vishnu performed intense penance here in the cold climate. To protect Him, His consort Goddess Lakshmi took the form of a Badri (Jujube) tree to provide shade and shelter. This temple is one of the 108 Divya Desams and is considered the place where the dual nature of humanity and divinity (Nar-Narayan) meets. Together, these two Dhams offer a path to Moksha, where the soul finds stillness amidst the roar of the Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers.

Overview
Trip To Temples has put together a divine Himalayan pilgrimage that will take you to the holy shrines of Shri Kedarnath Ji and Shri Badrinath Ji in the most comfortable way possible. This four-day helicopter trip from Dehradun is for people who want a quick and spiritually fulfilling Char Dham experience with as little physical effort as possible. The best times to go on this yatra are from May to June and from September to October, when the skies over the Himalayas are the clearest. The Dhams' temperatures range from 5°C to 18°C during these months, making it a cool and pleasant place to pray. Temperatures during the monsoon months (July to August) can range from 12°C to 22°C, but people usually don't fly helicopters during this time because the weather is unpredictable and there are clouds.
This yatra is perfect for families and older pilgrims. We made sure that the trip doesn't require much walking by replacing the 22 km hard trek to Kedarnath with a smooth helicopter ride. Most people only move short distances between the helipads and the temple entrances. With VIP darshan arrangements and dedicated TTT ground staff at every step, you can focus on your devotion while we take care of the logistics of the rough terrain.
