Panch Badri Pilgrimage Tour

The Panch Badri pilgrimage tour refers to a pilgrimage to five iconic temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu: Vishal Badri (Badrinath), Bhavishya Badri, Yogadhyan Badri Temple, Vridha Badri, and Adi Badri, each located in the Badri Kshetra region of Uttarakhand.

Let’s know about each of these temples: Vishal Badri (Badrinath Temple), located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, is one of the most famous pilgrimage sites dedicated to Lord Vishnu, believed to have been built by sage Adi Shankaracharya. As per the folklore, the Pandavas crossed the temple on their way to heaven. The Bhavishya Badri Temple is situated at a distance of 17 km from Joshimath, and the Badrinath Dham will move to and be finally established at Bhavishya Badri. The Yogdhyan Badri Temple is located in Pandukeshwar, where King Pandu married Kunti at Pandukeshwar. The Vridha Badri Temple is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, at a distance of 7 km from Joshimath, and is best known for the avatar of Lord Vishnu resembling an old man before sage Narada. Adi Badri is situated at a distance of 18 km from Karnaprayag, where Lord Vishnu resided during Sat Yuga, Dwapar Yuga, and Treta Yuga. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple houses a three-foot-high black stone of Lord Vishnu.
