It is situated in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu pondered here while his consort, Ma Laxmi, assumed the form of the Badri tree to shelter him from harsh weather. Lord Vishnu, deeply affected by Laxmi's actions, named the location Badrikashram. While Kedarnath, a portion of Panch Kedar, where Lord Shiva's hump is worshipped.
