Char Dham Yatra 2025 to begin on 30th April, says BKTC

Char Dham Yatra is a prominent pilgrimage circuit for Hindus, yet pilgrims from other communities like Jains, Sikhs, and Buddhists take part in it. Two of the primary Char Dhams- Badrinath Temple and Kedarnath Temple witnessed 1.42 million and 1.65 million pilgrims in 2024 respectively. Altogether, a staggering tourist footfall of 4.8 million pilgrims was recorded for Char Dham Yatra, in the same year.  

In a recent update from the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), 30th April will be the date of commencement for the Char Dham Yatra in 2025; which also marks the celebration of Akshay Tritiya- believed to be the beginning of renewal for auspicious occasions/activities.

• For Badrinath Temple, the opening date will be declared on 2nd February at Narendra Nagar Royal Palace.
