The Char Dham Yatra has started from Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham Darshan on 30th April. Traditionally, the pilgrims will first visit Kedarnath Temple on 2nd May before visiting Badrinath Dham on 4th May (Sunday). 

The Badrinath Temple remains open only between May to November, closing down during the winter season. Located in the foothills of the Himalayas, Badrinath Temple- the abode of Lord Vishnu- is worshipped here as Lord ‘Badrinarayana’, towers close to the Alaknanda River. Also known as Vishal Badri, the Badrinath Temple is one of the 108 Divya Desams, carrying immense belief and significance for the devotees of Lord Vishnu.
