Price: ₹55000 ₹On Request
Devotees come to Muktinath with a simple belief that here, Lord Vishnu blesses them with ‘liberation’ or ‘moksha’. This belief is the reason people travel to Muktinath. Not for comfort. Not for scenery. But to seek release from the cycle of birth and rebirth.
The sacred Muktinath Temple stands high in the Mustang region of Nepal at around 12,467 ft. The land here is dry and open. The wind at this altitude is sharp and the air feels thin. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is counted among the 108 Divya Desams of the Vaishnav tradition. It is also regarded as a Swayam Vyakta Kshetra, which means the deity is believed to have manifested here on his own, not installed by any king or saint.
According to long-held local belief, Lord Vishnu attained liberation at this place. That is why the temple carries such weight in Vaishnav tradition. Behind the shrine, 108 water spouts flow, known as Muktidhara. Pilgrims walk under all of them, even in the freezing cold. Nearby burns Jwala Mai, a natural flame that rises from underground gas. Here, fire and water exist together, which many devotees see as symbolic of balance and inner purification.
Muktinath is also sacred to Buddhists, who call it Chumig Gyatsa, the place of hundred waters. The holy Gandaki River flows through this region and gives Shaligram stones, worshipped as Vishnu himself. For many pilgrims, the journey feels complete when darshan at Muktinath is followed by Kailash Aerial Darshan. Muktinath is revered as a sacred kshetra of Lord Vishnu, while Mount Kailash is believed to be the eternal abode of Lord Shiva. Seeing both in one journey brings together two central streams of faith in a quiet and meaningful way.

Overview
This 5-day Muktinath Dham Yatra with Kailash Aerial Darshan is thoughtfully organised by Trip To Temples through Nepal. The journey begins in Nepalgunj, flies you into the lakeside beauty of Pokhara, and takes you deep into the Mustang region to Muktinath Dham, located at around 12,467 ft. This journey does not involve any long or difficult trekking. Most people prefer visiting Muktinath between March to May and September to November, when travel conditions are more stable.
During these periods, daytime temperatures usually stay between 5°C and 15°C. Early mornings and evenings can feel quite cold, mainly because of strong winds at this altitude, so carrying proper warm layers is important. For those who opt for it, Kailash Aerial Darshan offers a rare opportunity to see Mount Kailash from the air. With stays, temple visits and local support already planned, you can focus on darshan instead of managing arrangements.
