Day1 Varanasi
- Dashashwamedh Ghat:- Dashashwamedh Ghat, located on the Ganges River in Varanasi near the Vishwanath Temple, is significant in Hindu legend. One story claims Brahma built it to welcome Shiva, while another recounts Brahma performing ten Ashwamegha Yajnas, known as Dasa-Ashwamedha Yajna.
- Assi Ghat :- Assi Ghat, at the confluence of the Assi River and the Ganges, is a vibrant cultural hub and one of Varanasi's most popular ghats. It marks the start of many pilgrimages and is famous for its captivating morning and evening ceremonies, especially the Ganga Aarti.
- Manikarnika Ghat :- Manikarnika Ghat is famous for its cremation practices. According to Hindu mythology, it is said to be the location where either Sati's earring or eye dropped as Lord Shiva carried her to the Himalayas
- HarishchandraGhat :- The Raja Harish Chander Ghat, one of Varanasi's oldest ghats along the Ganga River, is believed to be where Raja Harish Chander performed his duties. It is one of only two ghats in the city designated for cremation and last rites, located next to Kedar Ghat. Everything is transient.
- Lalita Ghat : - Lalita Ghat, situated along the Ganges River in Varanasi, is named after the Hindu Goddess Lalita and was built in the early 19th century by Rana Bahadur Shah, the King of Nepal. It features the famous Nepali Mandir and Lalita Gauri Mandir, offering a stunning view at high tide at night.
- Tulsi ghat:- The cultural heritage of Tulsi Ghat significantly reflects its spiritual importance. It is widely regarded as the location where the medieval saint Tulsidas authored the Awadhi rendition of the revered epic poem Ramcharitmanas. Situated in Varanasi, Tulsi Ghat derives its name from Tulsidas, who resided there during the composition of the Ramcharitmanas.
- Chet Singh ghat :- Built in the mid-18th century, this site witnessed a key confrontation in 1781 between Maharaja Chait Singh and the British East India Company, stemming from Singh's refusal to provide the requested troops to Hastings.
- Namo ghat:- Namo Ghat, situated in Varanasi, India, is a modern ghat built along the banks of the Ganges River, having been transformed from the former Khidkiya Ghat.
