Historic update for Char Dham Yatra in Uttarkashi

The Char Dham Yatra in Uttarkashi in 2024 saw the highest number of tourist footfall, with over 3.6 Lakhs pilgrims visiting the famous Char Dham sites, Yamunotri, Gangotri, Badrinath, and Kedarnath, during the first 15 days of the Yatra. As reported by the Economic Times, 9812 pilgrims travelled to Yamunotri Dham, while 13,602 yatries visited the Gangotri Dham. The entire planning of the Yatra has been spearheaded by District Magistrate Dr. Meherban Singh Bisht, focusing on the hassle-free execution of the Yatra for pilgrims while also highlighting the importance of Char Dham Yatra registration by informing the officials that no one can go for the yatra without registration.
As per the recent Char Dham Yatra update, the overall management of the traffic was carefully observed by Dr. Meherban Singh upon his visits to several locations on the route to Gangotri Dham. This has been a historic event for Uttarkashi, transforming the town into a hub of spirituality.
